Love Fever protege and all round wunderkid Laurence Blake AKA Citizen, is in the midst of a meteoric rise to the top of the house tree with a faultless run of bass heavy retro house bangers. Given the speed at which his releases are disappearing from the shelves, Love Fever take us back to the start with his original and best track so far "Naomi". This 12" sees the deep and dense atmospheric thumper re-mastered with plenty of extra oomph all over the spectrum for fullscale club demolition. If that wasn't enough, the young producer has also re-imagined the track, completely smashing it out the park with the aptly named "Warehouse Dub". Citizen doubles the bassline up to give the track a pummelling tribal feel, swapping the spacey reverb of the original mix for relentless head nodding energy. In the unlikely event you've got this far before buying the record, then have a quick blast of the subby sleaze of "Closer", a poppers anthem if ever I've heard one. Dark synth tones, a creepy vocal and hissing percussion do the do on this one, leaving you with no option but to get down. This is straight up, unadulterated dance-floor gold from Citizen as Love Fever up the pace with a high quality and hectic release schedule and party pressure in 2014.
