The Quest started in the summer of 2001 at EUM church in Greenville, Ohio. Pastor Bill Lyle was looking for a way to reach a broader audience and developed an idea for an additional worship service. The service was not to be a typical “contemporary” service, but one with more of an “edge”. The service was called, “The Quest”. In October 2001, EUM had their first “Quest” service. For the next several years, God blessed the ministry at EUM and our membership expanded quickly. EUM had to move its services from the church to a local concert hall to accommodate the influx of people. In the fall of 2006 the band, previously consisting of Chad Lemons (guitar), Todd Matthew (bass, vocals), and Nathan Miley (keyboards, cello, vocals) took a different direction with the addition of Tim Yount as the lead vocalist. The “new” Quest was to be as much about fellowship and accountability with each other as it would be about music. As their bonds grew closer through fellowship and study, the band began to seek purity in their lives. The Quest has become committed to taking their music ministry outside of EUM with the vision of reaching people with God-honoring music and a message that purity is possible. Through this commitment The Quest has had the opportunity to share the stage with The Newsboys, Toby Mac, The City Harmonic, Jamie Grace, Big Daddy Weave, Fireflight, Dara Maclean, Sholock, Tree 63, Jake Myers, and more. Since finishing their 3rd recording project, The Quest is anxious for you to hear their first all original CD. “We pray that our music helps you connect with the Living God.
