Joe Reyes is a working musician from San Antonio, Tx. The unofficial heavy metal capital of the world. He grew up playing in bands that played just that kind of music. Then a friend gave him a Miles Davis record. And then he played in bands like 1980's era Miles Davis. Then he played an acoustic guitar for 20 years in Lara & Reyes. Now he plays in Buttercup and The Swindles and records by himself at home. Can you hear any of those various influences in his music now? Probably not.
