Peter Weiss is a University of California chemistry instructor and researcher by day, and a performer of children's environmental education music on the weekend! The songs are not depressing and give solid ideas for doing things to save the earth. Some of the suggestions are: walking, bicycling, using a solar oven, and picking up trash and recyclables around the neighborhood. There are also songs about the wonder of nature, like blue whales, the solar system, and amazing places like Big Sur in California. The music is home grown, and there are some good players on the album. The songs are catchy, but won't drive you crazy. The singing is mellow and draws you in. This is Peter's 2nd album, with the first one being "Do As You Otter".
