Recording for Greg Verner's 3rd CD began in early 2012 and was completed mid-way through 2014, with mastering being done in the late fall. The CD has been released March 1, 2015, and contains 13 tracks of quite varying styles of music. All but one track is original music, the one cover tune is a medley of 2 popular 60's songs done in a somewhat psychedelic reggae style. Greg Verner is a singer / songwriter / performer from Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia, Canada, with pop / rock influences from The Beatles, Steely Dan, Crowded House and XTC and also jazz influences of Thelonious Monk and Miles Davis. Approximately 15 musicians have contributed their talents in the making of this diverse yet fully formed album. An equal amount of creativity was also put into the CD design and accompanying booklet to make the whole package a very satisfying bit of entertainment.
