Way back in the dark ages, before mobile phones and video games, people used to get together and have little jam sessions with whatever instruments they played. Stringed instruments were very popular so little string bands were quite common, on this CD the guitar, mandolin and banjo swap around the lead and support each other, with bass, piano and drums for backing. Nearly every lounge room had a piano in the dark ages. This self entertainment seemed to die in the late 1970’s when disco music came in, and people started being DJ’s playing a record instead of an instrument.
