Myrddin
[Appraisal] The medieval name and the flute-playing figure on the front cover give rise to associations with Jethro Tull. Not wrong, because until the vocals reminiscent GALAHAD pleasant to the aforementioned British band, be it through the typical flute or the sometimes complex compositions that skillfully blend folk and rock elements. Despite these similarities to preserve their autonomy and have GALAHAD with "Myrddin" on an imaginative exception album, compliments! [Critique] Galahad - named after the Knights of the Round Table at King Arthur's court - presents their third album. This time, the legendary godfather of Celtic-British Druid Myrddin is better known as Merlin. Produced by ex-drummer Grobschnitt Eroc work offers rock originals plus a dash of Celtic mysticism, from concert to danceable. Paul Jost's flute and Dieter Horlitz 'electric guitar reminiscent of Jethro Tull (which they also have opening band ever played). Ulrike Koberg delivers expressive vocal performances, Jost's voice is reminiscent of Mark Knopfler. "Heal Me" is a potential hit pop song. Claymore Bagpiper Tim Portlethen guest at the ten-minute "Two Witches". Galahad is certainly one of the most original bands keltophilen from Germany compared with the many "Pogues from anywhere." Was it not also, Sir Galahad was succeeded as the only knight of the Round Table to find the Holy Grail?
