Martin Klett - Piano Rocco Boness - Bandoneón Sophie Heinrich - Violin Karel Bredenhorst - Violoncello   Cuarteto SolTango epitomizes the new generation of authentic tango, combining the luscious sound of a traditional orquesta with the verve that only chamber music can offer. Together, the four musicians interpret a wide diversity of classic tango styles right up to the Tango Nuevo of Astor Piazzolla and Osvaldo Pugliese in alluring arrangements by Martin Klett. Soon after it was founded in 2008, the quartet was invited to perform at the music festivals of Schleswig-Holstein and Oberstdorf, thereby launching their appearances in a series of outstanding classical venues. Since then, the four have played at a number of international festivals – most recently at the innovative Grachtenfestival in Amsterdam. They were part of the Blue Tango show in conjunction with the International Tango Festival Düsseldorf and the show Terra Tango at the Ghent Festival of Flanders. The four virtuosos have been acclaimed by dancers at international tango festivals in Hamburg, Oldenburg and Leipzig, including appearances with prestigious dance pairs such as Michelle & Joachim (Basel), Alejandra & Mariano (Madrid), Gastón & Moira (Buenos Aires) and Claudia & Matias (Berlin).   Sophie Heinrich Sophie Heinrich began her studies at the Music Academy in Stuttgart and continued her studies at the Hanns Eisler Music Academy in Berlin, where she studied under Prof. Stefan Picard and Prof. Antje Weithaas.Her postgraduate studies as a soloist , she completed with Prof. Thomas Brandis at the Music Academy in Lübeck. She took master classes with e.g. Gidon Kremer, Midori, Isabelle van Keulen and the Artemis-Quartett. Sophie Heinrich has won prizes in numerous international competitons. In September 2009, she was recognized by an international audience through her participation in the international ARD competition in Munich as the best German violinist in the semi-finale in the Herkules Hall. As a soloist she has appeared in many festivals, nationally and abroad. She worked together with conductors such  e.g. Sebastian Weigle and various orchestras  (e.g. Hamburg Symphony, Munich Chamber Orchestra, “Brandenburgisches Staatsorchester Frankfurt”). Recordings for the MDR, the BR and the HR document her competence as a solo performer and in chambermusic. She focusses on these skills in the ensemble  “Duo Inter Pares” which she co-founded with the Chilean pianist Jacques Ammon in 2006.  Since September 2009, Sophie Heinrich has been assistant of Prof. Thomas Brandis and lecturer for violin at the Music Academy in Lübeck.   Karel Bredenhorst studied in Den Haag with Monique Bartels and Paul Uyterlinde and completed his postgraduate study with Troels Svane at the Music Conservatory of Lübeck. He has performed at many festivals, including the Cello Festival of Dordrecht, the Open Chamber Music Prussia Cove, the Accademia Musicale Chigiana Siena, the Amsterdam CelloBiennial, the Steirian Chamber Music Festival Graz and the Schleswig-Holstein-Music Festival, where he played with Midori. He received lessons and musical impulses from Gustav Rivinius, Anner Bylsma, Gary Hoffmann, David Geringas, Steven Isserlis and many others. With his string quartet En-Accord he has won Prizes at the Princess Christina Competition and the International Charles Hennen Chamber Music Competition. In Herman van Veen's ensemble he toured Germany, Austria and Switzerland in concert. Karel plays in the „Cello8ctet Amsterdam“, with which he has played in Holland, Monaco, Italy and Sicily, and was a member of the Kraayenhof Tango Ensemble.   Martin Klett began his intensive study of piano and composition at the age of six and developed a love for Tango at 16. Since then he has been arranging Tango music from Osvaldo Pugliese and Astor Piazzolla avidly for his own ensembles. In 2006 he started his study of music at the Music Conservatory of Lübeck with Prof. Konrad Elser. In the field of classical music, he has won many national and international competitions - among which, the „Deutsche Musikwettbewerb“ (German Music Competition) and the International Brahms Competition. With his duo partner Sebastian Manz he regularly gives recitals at renowned festivals in Germany (Festspiele Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, Ludwigsburger Festspiele, Oberstdorfer Musiksommer and many more). He has played in concert with Peter Buck, Andrej Bielow, Sabine Meyer and Byol Kang.   Rocco Heins started playing the Bandoneón at the age of 21 and is one of the leading Bandoneónists in Germany. With Carel Kraayenhof and his Sexteto Canyengue he was on world tour for four years, among others with the Orquesta Color Tango as part of a Homage to  Osvaldo Pugliese in the presence of Pugliese's Widow. They also played on big stages throughout Europe (i.e. Concertgebouw Amsterdam, the Concert Hall of Dublin, the Nuremberg State Opera House, the Laeiszhalle in Hamburg and much more). Until now, his career has led him to engagements with the Ensemble of Andrea Breth at the Burgtheater in Vienna, the RuhrTriennale with Elisabeth Leonskaja and the State Theatre of Lübeck in conjunction with Günter Grass’ 80th Birthday. With Mercedes Benz he went on a six-week tour of Europe. He was the founder of the ensemble Titango with members of the Hamburg Symphonie Orchestra and wrote film music for Warner Bros. and for a cinematic movie about Paul Zech. He has been hired repeatedly productions and album recordings, for example from Franz Joseph Degenhardt and Jochen Wiegandt.
