Portia Clark, Zambian born Princess and now Australian based recording artist and song writer is enjoying her first official year in the music industry. In just a matter of months Portia’s career has gone viral after performing on the same stage as Katy Perry and for President Bill Clinton and President George Bush in the USA. Portia is recording her debut Album which will be released in the first part of 2016 and in her spare time is very charity focused. She represents Health Hope Zambia (HHZ), a well regarded NGO as their Zambian Ambassador alongside HHZ International Ambassador the legendary Gene Simmons, co founder of World renowned rock group KISS. From her official launch in May 2015, Portia’s CV is impressive to even the biggest names in the African music industry. Her story is sad yet inspiring, Portia’s father was a Freedom Fighter for South Africa and passed away during conflict when she was just one year old, brought up by her widowed mother in dangerous compounds in the capital city of Zambia, Lusaka and at the age of 8 realised her music talent when she joined the church choir. At the age of 23 Portia’s genre changed to R & B, Pop and Afro Soul. Portia's journey has been challenging however through all of her life experience she says “what makes you weak only makes you strive harder and think bigger” She is working with producers from Australia, Zambia, Namibia and the United States of America and has just completed a single “It’s on You” featuring Curtis Young, the eldest son to Dr Dre.
