This album, "Bring It Back" uses the metaphor of relationship ups and downs to comment on the larger human picture. We seem to take two steps forward and one step back as we fumble our way through life and its meaning. The title "Bring It Back" comes from a lyric in the opening track "I Need Love." "Bring back the holy family love......" In other words bring back that innocence, the ability to explore without fear, our connection to nature, our care for one another, our personal connections and kindness to strangers. The songs are presented in a throwback analogue production....cool pop melodies with catchy hooks and subtle use of real instruments, simple chord progressions that give a sense of familiar to anyone who listened to music in the late seventies or their parents' record collections.
